turns out wbx@ and I were – at least partially – wrong; these aren't
kernel modules but iptables userspace modules, which just happened to
be picked up by the kmod package, that's why I didn't find them, and
netfilter doesn't seem to have them, thus revert 2292 and wrap it into
an if-kernel-2.4 check to unbreak trunk
