because we patch with -p1 not -p0, if upstream versions
(reads: ${WRKDIST} with ${WRKDIR}/ stripped up front)
changed, the first component of the pathname changed,
leading to a totally new diff being created, not keeping
comments from the old diff. this sucks.

because it would be impractical to change _all_ diffs
to -p0 since some of them are maintained outside, even
if that would be the TECHNICALLY CORRECT solution, and
to not offend a certain co-developer, kludge the upda-
te-patches script to accept _any_ WRKSRC leading com-
ponent instead of only packagename-version and hope it
doesn't go wrong.

tested on mksh, results pleasing
